Tuesday night was the premiere of Season 1 of Star Search on Netflix with show-stopping performances from several of the artists that competed for America’s vote to send them through to the next level. The 5-week live show will search for the stars of tomorrow with the winner taking home the grand prize of $500,000.

Hosted by Anthony Anderson, the judges for the version of the talent competition are Jelly Roll,Sarah Michelle Gellar and Chrissy Teigen.

The Star Search categories are Music, Dance, Juniors, Comedy and Variety (which includes multiple sub-categories, such as magic).

Sarah Michelle: “A little known fact about me is I am a dance mom. I love dance. My favorite part was when you were in synch. When you were doing choreo at the same time, it was magic. Your leaps were so beautiful and elongated.”

Ladymetry

Chrissy: “I could see you in the most beautiful music video. I don’t know how you do choreography for something like that, but it was beautiful. You guys are incredibly talented people. I am blown away by what you can do.”

Round 3: Variety: Magic

Sarah Michelle said: “I don’t understand. I was blown away. I am never at a loss for words, but he kept me enthralled the whole time waiting for the payoff of the magic trick. I couldn’t wait to see what happened next. I absolutely loved it.”

Fernando Velasco

Chrissy said: "I am going to go to bed wondering how you did that trick. It is going to drive me nuts. It reminded me of the old days of magic on television… It was so cool to witness something like that.”
