Body-camera footage of Tiger Woods’ Friday arrest has been released, showing Woods kneeling at the scene of the two-car wreck.
Woods described what happened from his perspective: “I looked down at my phone, and all of a sudden, boom.” The video was first publicized by TMZ.

On Friday afternoon, Woods’ vehicle collided with the trailer of a pickup truck along a narrow road on Jupiter Island, Florida. Woods’ SUV rolled over onto its driver’s side, and Woods climbed out of the passenger side. After officers at the scene observed him acting “lethargic,” he was arrested and taken to Martin County jail. He refused a urinalysis at the jail, and was charged with DUI and failure to submit to a lawful test. Woods has pleaded not guilty to the DUI charge.
After acknowledging the severity of his situation, Woods announced earlier this week that he was seeking treatment for his personal issues, and removed himself from consideration for the captainship of the 2027 Ryder Cup team. His attorney has asked for permission for Woods to leave the country to seek treatment, citing privacy concerns.
Woods will not be in attendance at next week’s Masters, and will be away from the game of golf for an undetermined length of time. This marks the fourth traffic incident for Woods in which police were involved. The most notable of those was a 2021 California wreck in which Woods left the roadway at high speed and flipped multiple times. His injuries required significant reconstructive surgery, and his golf game — by far the least important of his many current challenges — has never recovered.
