Amid all the conference championship games with College Football Playoff implications, let us not forget about the SWAC Championship game.

Jackson State is looking to win its fourth SWAC title in the past five seasons, while Prairie View A&M will try to claim its first conference championship since 2009.

The Tigers hope to have quarterback JaCobian Morgan back. Coach T.C. Taylor said Morgan's availability will be up to the team's trainers for the game. Morgan return to practice on Nov. 18 and warmed up with the team before JSU's game on Nov. 22 but didn't play. He hasn't played since suffering a left foot injury on Oct. 25.

Jackson State and Prairie View A&M are evenly matched teams, ranking in the upper echelon of SWAC football statistics. Jackson State has dominated the SWAC and HBCU football the past two years under coach TC Taylor. However, Tremaine Jackson is a battle-tested coach who led Valdosta State to an NCAA Division II national championship appearance just a year ago.
