Lili Reinhart is sharing a negative comment she said a male director once made to her on set.
Reinhart, 29, said in a TikTok video shared by Cosmopolitan that an unnamed director once told her to "suck in" her stomach during filming for an unspecified project while she took part in a new video interview with her Forbidden Fruits costars Lola Tung, Alexandra Shipp and Victoria Pedretti.
The actress made note of the insulting moment when Pedretti, 31, prompted Reinhart to answer the question, "What is one acting note that you took personally?" and appeared to perk up as soon as Pedretti shared the prompt. "Oh, yeah," she said. "When I had a male director come up to me and silently lean over and go, 'Just suck in your stomach a little bit.' "
All three of Reinhart's costars gasped when she shared the story. "Oh my God. What is his name and what is his address?" Pedretti responded, while Tung, 23, said, "Time for a hex!" And Shipp, 34, repeatedly added, "Say his name! Say his name!"
"Tell you later," Reinhart responded to her costars' queries.

Forbidden Fruits sees the group of four women star as friends who "secretly run a witchy femme cult in the basement of" a retail store they work at. Their dynamic is thrown off when Tung's character joins the group, per an official synopsis.

Reinhart has openly spoken about struggling with her self-image as far back as 2018, when she shot down pregnancy rumors that spread at that time based on what she described as "one unflattering photo of herself" that circulated on the internet. She also said that year that she has struggled with body dysmorphia throughout her life.
In 2022, the Riverdale actress notably shared a series of posts on Instagram in which she openly described her struggles with her body image. "I didn't think being in this industry, that is so obsessed with women's bodies and weights, could ever mess with my own body acceptance and positivity.. but it has," she wrote at the time.
In a 2025 interview with Self magazine, Reinhart even said that she developed an eating disorder during Riverdale's run and stated that "99% of my thoughts were about my body" while she filmed the series' sixth season.
Forbidden Fruits is in theaters now.
