Summer House star Kyle Cooke does not condone the intense public scrutiny that estranged wife Amanda Batula has received amid her romance with West Wilson.
“Death threats are not warranted, no matter the severity of a bad decision,” Kyle, 43, wrote via X on Wednesday, April 1, in response to a fan who appeared to question his claim that Amanda, 34, is being “cyberbullied.”
Kyle, who separated from Amanda after four years of marriage in January, broke his silence on the budding romance between his ex and West, 31, earlier on Wednesday. Both Amanda and West have come under fire for the relationship, as West previously dated Amanda’s best friend and Summer House costar, Ciara Miller, in 2023.
Speaking to street journalist Adam Glyn, Kyle said that he’s “really worried” about Amanda amid the controversy. He also revealed that Amanda gave him a “heads up” before she and West released a joint statement confirming their relationship on Tuesday, March 31.

“I talked to her last night, and I understand people have all sorts of opinions, and I’m not justifying any behavior, but, like, from what I’m seeing, she’s getting cyberbullied,” Kyle continued.
The reality star also alluded to rumors that West is “playing multiple women at the same time,” calling out fans who are “lighting up” Amanda.
“I just feel bad. Amanda knows that what she did was wrong, and she’s trying to come to terms with it, but she is not [doing] well,” he noted.

Kyle also revealed that he found out about Amanda’s new relationship over the weekend and doesn’t “understand the timeline just yet.” He admitted that he’s been second-guessing certain moments from summer 2025, including how “touchy” West was with Amanda.
“It’s a mental mind-f*** for me,” he explained, adding that West sent him “some half-assed text message” after the news broke.
Amanda and West went public with their romance less than one month after the pair first sparked dating rumors.
“We’ve seen the growing online speculation, so while this is still very new, we wanted to provide some clarity,” read their joint statement on Tuesday. “It was never our intention to purposely hide anything. Given the complicated relationship dynamics involved and the scrutiny that comes with being on a reality show, we needed a little space to process things privately before speaking on it.”

The pair continued, “We’ve shown up for each other as friends over the years, through all the highs and lows, and what’s developed recently was the last thing either of us expected. Our connection grew out of a genuine, longstanding friendship, which made it especially important for us to approach this with care.”
Amanda and West noted that they “wanted to take time to understand exactly what we were feeling.”
“We also recognize that this has had an impact beyond just us and never wanted our actions to cause any hurt or be perceived as careless. We truly appreciate the understanding and respect as we navigate this,” the statement concluded.
