Kristen Stewart bent an age-old wedding guest rule while attending Emma Roberts’s nuptials on July 25.
Roberts married Cody John in Idaho during a star-studded ceremony.
Julia Roberts, Demi Moore, and Ashley Benson were also in attendance.
As Emma Roberts married Cody John in an idyllic Idaho wedding ceremony on July 25, Kristen Stewart embraced an age-old fashion faux pas as she celebrated with her fellow star-studded attendees. In photos shared by actress Ashley Benson on July 28, the Twilight alum broke a cardinal wedding-guest rule with her menswear-inspired outfit: Wearing white.

Wedding guests, particularly women, are traditionally encouraged not to sport shades of white, cream, or ivory to a wedding to avoid matching the bride and causing confusion. However, Stewart ensured she stayed away from bridal-style territory with her wedding-guest look, which featured a white-collared short-sleeved dress shirt and tie.

The Charlie’s Angels actress paired her button-up top with a pair of form-fitting dark olive green slacks and a long retro-inspired dark brown patterned tie that was embellished with a gold pin. Posing with Benson and her husband Brandon Davis in a sunny photo outside, Stewart accessorized with a pair of black oval sunglasses and styled her dark brown pixie cut into an effortless wet-inspired bouffant. In another photo, the Snow White and the Huntsman actress could be seen standing with a group of friends, including Benson and Davis, outside at night.
The Pretty Little Liars actress showed off her brunette hair transformation in a plunging black short-sleeved dress covered in black lace panels and embroidered white leaf-inspired appliqués.

Stewart—who joined guests including Julia Roberts and Demi Moore—wasn’t the only star bending wedding dress code tradition during the nuptials. The bride herself changed out of her ivory Monique Lhuillier gown into an unexpected second look for the after-party: a black two-piece set, which was inspired by a design from Monique Lhuillier’s Fall 2024 collection.
The American Horror Story actress opened up about her decision to flout bridal style norms in an interview with Vogueby choosing the black corset-style top trimmed with Chantilly lace, and a matching silk organza skirt.
“I love the idea of wearing black for the after party,” Roberts explained. “We love doing something that’s a little unexpected. This looks like it could be totally vintage from 100 years ago, or from now. This is going to be so fun in Idaho at the after-party.”
