Christian Cage Happy to Know AEW Stars’ Wives Will Be at All In Wembley

Christian Cage added a personal twist to the build toward AEW All In 2026 by taking a subtle shot at The Young Bucks during a sit-down interview on the July 29 episode of AEW Dynamite. The conversation mostly focused on the respect between both teams. However, Cage couldn’t resist mentioning Matt and Nick Jackson’s wives.

The AEW World Tag Team Championship match between Adam Copeland and Christian Cage and The Young Bucks became official after AEW Redemption on July 26. Copeland and Cage successfully defended their titles against Claudio Castagnoli and PAC before Matt and Nick Jackson confronted them in the ring.

Christian Cage says he’s happy Young Bucks’ wives will attend AEW All In

On this week’s Dynamite, Renee Paquette hosted a sit-down interview with both teams in a relaxed bar-style setting. From the start, it was clear there was mutual respect, but both teams also made it clear they were focused on winning.

The Young Bucks said that it is important for their legacy and revealed that their families would be traveling to London to watch them compete.

Adam Copeland praised The Young Bucks for everything they have done for tag team wrestling. He credited them with helping keep tag team wrestling relevant during a time when the division wasn’t getting much attention.

Christian Cage had a different message. He said he and Copeland didn’t come back to wrestling just to celebrate what they had done in the past.

Then he mentioned Matt and Nick Jackson’s wives.

“We came back and that now we are the tag team champions, to prove that not only are we the best tag team of our generation, that we are the best tag team of your generation as well. And also just wanna throw in there, it’s good to know that your wives are coming,” Cage said.

The comment immediately caught everyone off guard.

However, Matt Jackson ignored the jab and turned the focus back to the championships. He said winning at All In would make The Young Bucks the most decorated tag team in AEW history. He also talked about how difficult the past two years have been since losing the titles. Moreover, he emphasized how last year’s All In was especially disappointing after everything they lost.

Copeland responded by mentioning that both he and Cage had been forced into retirement at different points in their careers. So winning the AEW World Tag Team Championship made this run even more special.

Matt then promised they would come into Wembley faster, stronger, and more determined than ever.

Christian wasn’t buying it. He suggested that The Young Bucks were trying to convince themselves they were ready instead of truly believing it.

The Young Bucks ended the interview by talking about the criticism they have faced throughout their careers. Despite that, they have always found success as underdogs and believe they will do it again at All In.
