He continued, “I just got a text from my friend who lives on this ranch, Jason Morgan, and a storm came in yesterday and this tree fell down on top of this [Owen’s bungalow]. That was destroyed yesterday.”
Morgan is the president and sixth-generation owner of Kualoa Ranch, a private nature reserve located in O’ahu, Hawaii, that was used as the primary film location for the original* Jurassic Park *in 1993* *as well as *Jurassic World* and its 2018 sequel, *Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom*. Hawaii was hit by back-to-back Kona low storms in March that produced more than 2 trillion gallons of water — which is enough to fill 3 million Olympic-sized swimming pools — and culminated in a “rain bomb” that caused severe flooding on O'ahu, per a University of Hawaii report.
The first storm, which began on March 10, saw the island of Hawaii hit with 135.4 mph winds, the report states. The system lasted until March 16, with Maui also receiving up to 62 inches of rainfall.
A second storm, which occurred from March 19 until March 23, also brought 61 inches of rain and led to flooding in Molokaʻi, West Maui, and Oʻahu, according to the report. In a March 20 press conference, Hawaii governor Josh Green said that the storms had already caused more than $1 billion in damages statewide.

Pratt’s comment comes just over a week after *Aquaman* actor Jason Momoa revealed that he and his family were forced to evacuate from O’ahu amid the storms.
“We got out of the North Shore... our power went off... We're safe for now, but there's a lot of people who weren't, so we’re sending all our love," Momoa explained on his Instagram at the time. "The North Shore is pretty gnarly right now. So hopefully everyone's safe and getting out... Stay safe out there."

Momoa — who was born, raised, and lived on the island for most of his life — returned to Instagram on March 30 to share that he is putting together a benefit concert to raise flood relief funds later this month.
“We’re working on that right now, so more to come,” he said. “Lots of bands are coming out so we can all go watch and support and give back.”
